My soul-portrait calls for deep silence otherwise you will miss it.
In me, empty walled cities, resting, retreating, harmonizing.
In me, root after root of families known, unknown and forgotten.
I lie awake at night recounting all.
I end the panic attack of my youth by offering a prayer, myself scared that I would choke to death alone in my bedroom.
I kiss the hand of the man who will spend his time in deep silence getting to know me.
While stargazing I long to be tucked in by the millions of eyes staring, vigilant of us, of you, of me. Are the stars indifferent? Do they feel sympathy for the human?
I wish for one day to be in the know. I wish for one day to feel beauty divine and infinite, to see no space in between, or rather to be the space in between joining it all together.
As previously stated, a soul-portrait can only be understood in deep silence, while sitting with the self in communion with mystery.
